1. Check the sync icon on the project list page to see if it's spinning which means it's syncing to our server. You can initiate a sync by tapping the sync button or pulling down on the list.
2. If it's RED, press it and it will start to sync (spin) if there is an internet connection. WARNING: Do NOT log out when the sync icon is red. You WILL lose data and photos that have not been synced.
3. To check the Sync Status, open the navigation drawer by tapping the menu button
4. Tap on Sync Status.
5. The sync status gives you information regarding your connection (online/offline), how many projects, and the number of photos need to be synced.
6. When syncing is complete you will see the message that your device is fully synced and the number of photos and projects will be 0.
MORE TIPS
- Please do NOT Log Out, uninstall the app, or restart your device as this may cause data/photo loss if you have not synced your data to our server.
- Email support@sitecapture.com if you are having issues and please provide us with as much detail as possible regarding your issue.
Auto Sync
In order to continue to improve sync experience, we want to give you the option for more regular automated syncing. Currently syncing only starts automatically when you go to the list view. Auto-sync will allow the sync to start automatically every time you complete a section. This would be triggered by returning to the main project view after being in a section view. Please see this guide on how to sync.
1. Go to Settings>Sync Status.
2. Under Sync Settings turn Auto Sync "On".
3. Open a project, enter a section and add data and photos. When you go back to the project view, the sync will start automatically.
