iOS: Find Work

This guide will show you all the ways you can find a project on your iOS device. You can Search and Load a project by it's Display Lines, open a project from a link provided to you, or Filter your search results to show only the projects you want to see.

Table of Contents:

Search and Load a Project

This feature allows you to search and load a project instead of scrolling through your project list.

You cannot find projects that:

  • Have been Archived.
  • Are not Assigned or Shared with you (if you are a Field User).

You can find all other projects, even if they:

  • Are not in your mobile view.
  • Have been set to Complete or Closed.

How to Search and Load a Project

1. From the project list page, click on the Settings menu icon on the top left.

What permissions will you have?
- Admin users can edit any project they load including Closed state projects - they can edit the status of these projects as well.
- For field users, "Complete" state projects are editable, but "Closed" state projects are read-only.
- After completing the project and syncing, the found project will not display in the list.
- If you wish to edit the project again after completion, you will have to find and load it again.

Open a Project from a Link

If your administrator has configured assignment e-mails, you will receive a notification from SiteCapture in your e-mail inbox when a project is assigned to you.

How to Open a Project from an Assignment E-mail

1. From your mobile device, open the email using the Mail app and click "Open Assignment”.

Open a Project From a Link

You can also open projects from a link provided by your administrator. SiteCapture Admins should format the URL as follows:

https://app.sitecapture.com/mobile/redirect/<project_id>

So for a project with id 497713 the URL would be:

https://app.sitecapture.com/mobile/redirect/497713

When the user clicks on that link it will open the SiteCapture app and then open the project based on the id.

See this article on how to locate the Project ID: Find Project ID
