AI Workflow: Timestamp Validation

📝 Description

The Timestamp Validation task validates whether each image in a project has a capture date that occurs after the project's creation date. This ensures chronological consistency and helps catch improperly timestamped images.

The task executes on all images in the project.

🎯 When to Use This Task

Use this task when you need to:

  • Ensure image capture dates follow proper chronological order
  • Prevent outdated or incorrectly timestamped images from passing validation
  • Enforce project-wide date-related rules

🛠️  Accessing the Task

The Timestamp Validation modal appears when the user:

  • Edits an existing Timestamp Validation task, or
  • Creates a new Timestamp Validation task

Both actions open the same configuration modal.

🧩 Required Fields & Inputs

1. Validation Name (required)

  • Users can specify a meaningful name for the timestamp validation task

2. Error Handling (optional)

  • Label: "Skip task on missing timestamp data"
  • When checked, images without a capture date will automatically fail validation
  • This setting is optional but strongly influences validation behavior

💾 Saving the Task

The Save button becomes enabled only when all required fields are complete:

  • Validation Name

Once the user clicks Save:

  • The task configuration is saved
  • The modal closes

📌 Summary

The Timestamp Validation task provides an efficient way to ensure chronological accuracy across project images. By customizing the task name and deciding whether missing capture dates should trigger validation failures, users maintain clean and consistent project metadata.
