Using the Field Selector

🧾 Overview

In many areas of the AI Configuration UI, you’ll be asked to select a field key. To make this easier, a Field Selector widget is available, allowing you to choose a field directly from a template instead of manually entering a key.

The Field Key is a unique identifier for each field within a template. The field key can be found within the template configuration (see: Adding & Editing Fields: Field Key), or by hovering over the field name in the project page (see: Field Information: Field Key and Last Updated). Field keys are case sensitive and must match exactly in any use case.

🧩 Access the Field Selector

  1. Open or create an AI Task that requires a field key (eg. Image Validations, Multi-field Validation)
  2. Click on "Browse"

📂 Selecting a Template

  1. When you open the Field Selector, choose a template first
  2. Your selected template will be remembered automatically for future use
  3. The next time you open the selector, it will default to your last selected template

🗂️ Browsing Fields

  • After selecting a template, fields are displayed
  • Fields are grouped by section and field group
  • Each field shows both the field name and field key
  • If the task type only supports image-based fields, only fields containing images will be shown

🔎 Searching for a Field

  • Use the search box to quickly find fields
  • Results filter in real time as you type
  • Search matches against field names

Summary
